DESCRIPTION:Intimate Binche. A sound exploration  27/01/24 > 15/09/24\nThe recognition of the Carnival of Binche as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO put it in the international spotlight. More than a hundred thousand visitors are stomping their feet on the cobblestones of the historic centre of Binche during Shrovetide and contribute in this way to the Carnival’s renown.  \nHowever\, the Carnival of Binche is above all characterised by its intimate character. The exhibition « Intimate Binche. A sound exploration » highlights this particular aspect of the festival.  \nBy means of a  number of innovative sound recordings diffused by original installations\, you can delve into the intimacy of Carnival. The voices of the women\, the children\, the publicans\, the artisans and\, of course\, the masked actors\, display the way each year a whole community falls under the spell of Carnival.  \n
